Who are you?

My friends and family call me Karen. But since Karen’s are the human equivalent of a wedgy, I’m trying out Robin Hood. 

 

Why Robin Hood?

 

‘Cause it’s my mission to steal all the strategies you thought were reserved for Big Brands and big budgets and give them to the small businesses and solopreneurs of the world. 

 

And…are you qualified to do this? 

 

Yes. I’ve spent the past 10+ years working in digital marketing, most recently running the internal marketing department for an agency in San Diego. 

 

I left agency life behind to start my own consulting + copywriting biz. Because most agencies and ick marketers are more concerned with algorithms and search engines than customers. 

 

And that’s not the way I market. And you shouldn’t either.

What is this place?

This is where people go to get clear on what they need to do to get more eyeballs on their business. The right eyeballs. The ones connected to people with potential to turn into buyers. 

 

Because you might not have a big budget to play with. But with the right foundation (ie dialed in on your target audience and message), you can still find the people most likely to fall in love with your brand.

Why should I care?

Because no business succeeds without a decent amount of leads. And whoever coined ‘build it and they will come’ clearly never started a business. 

 

Because you have an amazing product or service that solves a genuine need for people. They just don’t know it yet.

Because those people need to know you’re out there. So let's help them find you.

Is it true that marketers are the new Dementors?

Kinda. But only the old school, bro, high-five dude marketers. 

 

Not the kind that believe ick marketing needs to stay in the 90s where it belongs with pushy false advertising and low-rise jeans.
